Rehearsal is where you turn individual songs into an experience people can step into. The goal is not to copy the recording exactly. It is to make the room feel the music in real time.

Build an emotional arc

Think about the rise and fall of your set. Where do you want the energy to peak? Where can the audience breathe? Arrange the songs so that the performance has movement, not just a sequence of tracks.

Practise the transitions

The moments between songs are part of the set. Rehearse the count-ins, the instrument changes, the silences, and the words you want to say. These details create confidence and give the show its shape.

Make space for the room

Watch what happens in front of you. A live performance is a conversation. Leave enough room in the plan to respond when the audience gives you something back.
